OVIDUS UNIVERSITY OF CONSTANTA,MEDICAL SCHOOLaccepts transfer students from recognised medical faculties. Transfer students must provide all proper documentation and be prepared to sit for make up if they have difference exams after they must have enrolled.


PROCEDURES FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS

The procedure of admission is the same for all applicants and prospective students except that they MUST present a transcript, but we must stress that for the processing stage of the admission,we would not deal with originals,notarised photocopies are enough.On enrollment with the university when you finally arrive,the original is sure needed.
Transfer students must first have their credits analysed by the university of Constanta Medical faculty board.They would determine the class that befit the student based solely on the transcript and the courses covered and passed as reflected on the transcript.
Any outstanding subject will need to be completed in the form of difference exams or carry-over examinations. These difference exams are paid for by the students.

Accepted students would receive admission letter which would state the class they were accepted to continue their study.
After this stage,what follows next isthe processing of the Acceptance letter,the ultimate document that guarantees your place would be sent to you on a latter date.Note that the Acceptance letter doesnot state the class because this document is not issued by the university but the Ministry.

In some cases students who do not have sufficient credits to enter into their desired transfer year, the student will be placed into class based solely on his transcripts,courses covered and whether they were passed or failed.The Students dreams Academic counselors SDAC would guide you through and give the necessary assistance for transfers students.


ON ENROLLMENT AND REGISTRATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY

This is extremely important,on enrollment,the student have bring the curriculum of his/her former institution which clearly states the courses offered, a detailed outline of subjects covered in each course, the credit and lecture hours as well as the credit and grading system.

letter of Admission from the former university and a detailed transcript to perfectly identify the student and the assurance that the university is dealing with the same person.

For universities that give the students work-books,you are required to come with this as well. For students who have begun their clinicals,it is very necessary to present this, its equivalent or a recommendation.

If you have a score books,you can  bring those also.


POINTS TO NOTE

Transfer students might have some courses from the lower class year(s) of study that they have to offer,pay for and write,they are called "difference examinations"

It is possible to transfer into 2nd, 3rd and 4th years based on transcript,students should also understand that there are differences in medical school system and that counts as well,however it is basically based on the transcripts.
