  Andrea Marcu,MD, Ovidius University of Constanta,Medical school.A post-doctoral research fellow,recruited by Virginia Commonwealth University Reanimation Engineering Shock Center (VCURES).
Her post-doctoral research program,“Effects of Androstenetriol (AET) Induced Immunomodulation in the Treatment of Traumatic Shock” focused on rodent survival studies in trauma-hemorrhage and shock models is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research.

Presently,her work is focused on the alternative splicing of caspase 9 and Bcl-x in response to signaling.
